It is Friday morning. Sibel Teacher and her students are on a big yellow school bus. They are driving away from the city. Today, they are visiting the Whispering national park for a nature project.
Sibel Teacher stands up and looks at the excited children. "Good morning, everyone! Today, we are going to explore different animal habitats. Nature is a wonderful home for millions of living things. We will learn about mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects."
Kerem looks out the window. "Look at those giant green trees, Leo! The forest is so big."
"Yes," Leo says, holding his camera. "I want to take photos of all the wild animals today."

After some walking, Sibel Teacher stops near a wooden picnic table. "Let's sit here and listen to the forest," she says quietly.
Suddenly, Kerem hears a strange rustling sound coming from a thick bush. It sounds like something is moving fast. Kerem wants to run into the deep bushes to see what it is. He takes a step, but Leo holds his arm.
"Wait, Kerem! Don't go there alone," Leo whispers. "Don't forget, curiosity killed the cat! We must be careful in the forest."
Sibel Teacher nods. "Leo is right, Kerem. We must stay together and respect the wild animals' spaces."

They decide to look at the bush together, very slowly.

A beautiful eagle with giant brown wings flies over the trees. It lands on a high branch.
"That is a bird," Sibel Teacher says. "Birds have got wings, and most of them can fly high. The sky and tree branches are their habitats."
The eagle looks at the children for a moment and then flies away into the blue sky.

Kerem looks at a big gray rock under the sun. A small green lizard is sitting on the rock. It does not move.
"Lizards are reptiles," Sibel Teacher explains. "They love warm rocks. Snakes and turtles are also reptiles. They are very cool animals."
Just then, a colorful butterfly lands on a yellow flower near Kerem's foot.
"Look! An insect!" Kerem says. "Insects are everywhere in the forest."

"Oh no!" Elif says. "It is a small mammal. We must help it."
Sibel Teacher walks to the squirrel slowly and holds the bottle. She gently helps the squirrel pull its head out. The squirrel looks at Sibel Teacher with its bright black eyes, wags its bushy tail, and runs up a pine tree.
Kerem looks at the plastic bottle. "Someone threw this rubbish in the park. That is very bad."
"Yes," Sibel Teacher says. "We must protect their habitats. We must keep nature clean and show compassion to all animals."
At the end of the day, Kerem puts the plastic bottle in a recycling bin. He smiles happily. He knows that loving nature means protecting it.
